Self Image - Prison or Platform?

The concept of ‘self’ that is almost unique to human beings is the cause of much misery and suffering we experience. Existing in our minds as an entangled cobweb of lies and delusions, it literally creates a prison for us. We need to have a self concept to be able to identify with the roles and duties we lay out for ourselves.

The subject of self-image however, tricky as it is, scripts only half the story of what we call our life. The other half is scripted by the images that others hold in their heads about us.
